Christoph Roth is a VFX (Visual Effects) Producer at MPC Film with over 16 years’ of experience in the world of film and cinematography. Most recently, he was the VFX Producer on The Lion King. Among other jobs he worked at Framestore as VFX Producer on 2014’s second highest grossing movie worldwide, Guardians of the Galaxy. Whilst working as a VFX Producer at Pixomondo in Hamburg, Christoph won an Emmy Award for “Valar Morghulis”, the 10th episode of Game of Thrones, Season 2, and also worked on After Earth, Rush, Only Lovers Left Alive and Academy Award winning Hugo. During the first 5 years of his career in the movie industry, he worked as a 3D generalist with a focus on character animation and helped realize the very first German computer animated TV series as an animator and compositor, back in 2000. Following his experience as an artist, he was involved in two major 2D animated feature films for the German market as a production manager. He also worked on various award winning commercials for Audi, BMW and Epson, before transitioning into VFX for feature films. Christoph studied Computer Sciences at the University of Applied Science in Hamburg with focus on media and computer graphics.
